Plastic surgeon apologises for divulging details of celebrity clients

A plastic surgeon who revealed more than he should have about his celebrity clients has publicly apologised for his gaffe on a local radio station.

According to the Lianhe Wanbao, Dr JJ Chua, who runs his private practice, the JJ Chua Rejuvenative Cosmetic & Laser Surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, had earlier divulged details on surgeries that he has performed on local celebrities in an interview with reporters from the Chinese Daily.

His revelation sent ripples across the local celebrity circle, casting an uncomfortable spotlight on several celebrities long thought to have undergone cosmetic enhancement.

"Lips are sealed" from now

Dr Chua, 43, was invited by 100.3FM to give his response. During his on-air interview with the DJs, Dr Chua admitted that he has a tendency to not "think before he speaks" and apologised several times for offending his celebrity clients.

He also vowed not to commit the same mistake again, saying his "lips are sealed" from now on. At the start of the interview, another DJ, DJ Wen Hong read out part of an article that appeared in U-weekly. In the article, an anonymous male celebrity expressed his shock upon reading Dr Chua's 'expose'. He accused Dr Chua of using his clients' status to advertise his services, and said that "perhaps Dr Chua no longer needs to rely on his celebrity clients (for his business)".

After hearing those words, Dr Chua immediately apologised, stating: "Sorry, it is all my fault".

Dr Chua said that in his interview with Wanbao, he had tried to disguise the identities of his clients as much as possible, but it still led to much finger-pointing amongst members of the celebrity circle.

After his interview was published, Dr Chua admitted that a few of his famous clients had called to admonish him for his indiscretion, to which he apologised and blamed himself for being a "loud mouth".

"I did not think that my actions would cause embarrassment to my clients. I completely understand their point of view, and will not speak on such matters from now on."

DJs surprised by his remorse

Even the DJs themselves seemed surprised by the doctor's self-reproach and remorse.

According to DJ Li Mei, Dr Chua appeared emotional while apologising, and his eyes were "red and teary", while DJ Wen Hong said Dr Chua apologised "at least 10 times" during the interview.

He expressed sympathy for Dr Chua, saying: "It must not be easy for such a highly-regarded professional to apologise so publicly."

"I felt bad for him. From his expression, you could tell he was guilt-ridden and has realised his mistake." said the DJ.

He continued: "Before, I thought of him as someone who had no qualms about blabbing about his clients' secrets to the public, but my impression of him has changed after this interview."

Is Huang Wen-Hong arrogant ?

Is Huang Wen-Hong arrogant?

Did you read today's Straits Times (Life!) featuring Huang Wen-Hong of Radio 1003?

Do you agree that he is arrogant?

Do you think he is intelligent and creative that other DJs are not as good as he is?

I like your afternoon lunch show for this week...~

Hi Wen Hong

I like your afternoon lunch show for this week coz it is interesting with lots of topics there...

First of all, you sound rather gentle and nice when you're alone hosting the whole programme as well...

I hope you will host your programme alone in the morning as you sound more gentle and friendly too...

Maybe coz of the two companions, you become more rugged in the morning breakfast show lo...

Hope to hear from you again.

Have a nice day...

Regards

A Moment of Happiness
(Ambrose Hsu)

When the autumn comes again
You tell me to love and to hold on with smile
No matter how short the tenderness will be
When I meet you again in mercy I won’t ask for more.

Can you imagine that some things and some people
Just stay on that day when they came
How relentless time is...I will never forget that
Now I am contented with this fate because with you, there is happiness.

Let me unlock you from time, set our love free and not restrained
We have cried and struggled and our hearts were smashed in pain
Someday when the leaves fall silently before my eyes
There will be no more sorrow
Because eternity will finally believe in the moment of happiness.

Let me unlock you from time, set our love free and not restrained
I will never regret for a single second that I have lived with you
The past and the future are gently interwoven with each other
Please forgive my sweet tears
Thank you for being in my life even in a moment of happiness

Feedback to Radio 100.3

To Whom It May Concern

Dear Sir

I still not satisfied with your explanation and clarification on your email dated 18 May 2009.

Do you think I can bear on this unreasonable excuse in a long run...? My answer will be NO...

I don't mind if I can't participant on any of your contest or programme but sometime I will feel much disappointed when I finally realised that all my sms will go to the drain or even towards the sea most of the time...

I guess your organisation should do something with it as I am quite innocent most of the time...

I won't change my mobile number because of your Radio Station.

I won't be using a new mobile number all the time because I have been using this number for a long period of time... I am so puzzled that all my sms have gone to the drain most of the time...

I should stand up for those audience who also face the same problems like me as well...

I know that today your system have problem since 6 am this morning. I think it time to upgrade your system now...

In fact, I have much better choice to compare and listen to other Radio Station broadcast but I choose to tune-in to Radio 100.3 FM instead...

Kindly look into the matter seriously as I look forward to hear from you soon.

Have a nice day...

Sunflower biker: I didn't harass radio DJ

He is well known as the Sunflower biker because of the many artificial flowers he used to decorate his motorbike. However, he has garnered unwanted attention of late when several radio DJs said that he had been harassing them.

The biker, Mr Soh, said that he did not harass 100.3 FM DJs and is willing to go all the way to prove his innocence.

He parked his bike outside the SPH Building in Toa Payoh North (100.3 FM has its offices here) in the morning of April 10 and displayed a handwritten message attached to the Sunflower Bike.

STOMP got hold of Mr Soh before he left and he gave his side of the story.

"The whole thing started when, I sent an SMS to the radio station, criticising DJ Huang Wen Hong's programme and said that his show had 'no standard'," he recounted.

"He realised that I was the Sunflower biker and he said that I always parked my bike in the vicinity of SPH to look at the DJs, but I told him that I was just there to take my meals at the nearby coffeeshops."

He added that he approached the Chinese daily, Wan Bao, to tell his side of the story. But the article which subsequently appeared on Sept 12 last year, was not what he expected.

"The Wan Bao report stated that I was harassing the 100.3FM DJs when I was not and they had misinterpreted me.

"DJ Anna has a program which discusses topics related to sex and the article stated that I was talking about their boobs.

"But I had actually SMSed in to talk about the topic, not about them."

He told STOMP that he was forced to resign from his job because of the article.

"My boss asked me to go to his office to see him and he told me that the article has damaged the company's reputation. He asked me to resign," he said.

"But I am not going to take it lying down. I tried to get them to correct the mistakes in the article but they refused.

"I am willing to spend time and money to get lawyers and address the issue in a legal suit."

STOMP is contacting 100.3 FM and the Wan Bao reporter who wrote the story, for their comments.

Sms reply from Wen Hong...

If you sms as usual listener, participant our contest, we will sure reply.

But if you try to get attention or threathen us, we have no obligation to entertain you.

Have a nice days.

Why do you think that I need more attention from you....?

Hi Wen Hong

Why do you think that I need more attention from you...?

Just because I only tune-in to the morning broadcast programme recently...?

Even though you think that I need more attention, you still have to be more thoughtful and more professional to handle this matter tactfully as not to block or ignore all my sms and email totally as I really feel that lo...

I don't sent out unnecessary comments or criticize you so far during your programme...

I indeed admired, learned and gain more new knowledge and have more up-to-date news from your early morning broadcast ever since I have tune-in to your programme...

Its really a credit to me and for all those audience who like you as well... Don't you feel proud and honour as many people love you now...

You're the best DJ in Radio Station 100.3 FM when I read through the news recently...

Lots of people complaints and comments about you and the other DJs through Forum but I have not do so...

I hope to clear this unhappiness and misunderstanding things with you as the unfairness and unfortunate things won't be happened to me anymore...

Have a nice day

Not to be difficult for you...

Hi Wen Hong

Not to be difficult for you but I really hope that you will understand how I feel...

I have listened to various Radio Broadcast from Love 97.2, Yes 93.3, FM 88.3, FM 95.8, FM 95.4, FM 98.8 and so on...

Of course, I can't compared your broadcast with them but I realised that your late night programme turned out to be terrible as I need to switch to Yes 93.3 to listen to more meaningful and more constructive broadcast programme...

I hope that your programme will have better progress rather than the audience keep complaining or missing one day...

Hope to hear from you soon.

Reply from Wen Hong...

thanks for your feedback...we already read it.. and we dun think is a construtive comments.
and actually is not true. but we wil also take notes

P.S. Margaret or you can call me on my mobile phone if you have a better solution... If I miss your call, please leave a message in my voice mail as I will call you back again... Be patient... as I am rather patient with your broadcast and reply...

Thank you for your reply...

Hi Wen Hong

Thank you for your reply...

I really don't received any email from Margaret on 5 May 2009 as you have mentioned from your email dated 18 May 2009...

I have received one miss call on 14 May 2009 which is 63363177... I don't returned call because I always received strange calls that I don't know them at all..

If this the case, it will be fine for me since you have already clarify this matter with me now...

I am quite upset and disappointed due to the non sms reply from your DJs during the weekend morning broadcast as I have already sent in the first sms using my number but no reply from them so far... As from then I wonder why its happened to me most of the time... I even checked with my service provider regards to this problems as well... I hope you will understand how I feel at that period of time...

I have to use another new starhub prepaid card number to send sms again as they replied immediately... Of course, I was indeed puzzled and I email you on 3 May 2009 to wait for your reply but I never received any response from you until I became very upset and angry...

If you have clarify with me at that time, I won't be so upset with Radio 100.3 since then...

Your reply is rather too late now... I guess you have already read my complaint that I have sent on 17 May 2009...

I really think of switching to other better channel at that time but I never... When I listen to your broadcast, I was so upset with your programme...

In future, try to reply to me when that is something urgent...

Reply from Radio 100.3...

Silence mean Yes....!!!

Hi Wen Hong

Silence mean Yes....!!!

I know that because I hardly tune-in to other DJs broadcast and I don't listen to the programme for so many hours...

Do you think that you have the right to block my number...?

Do you think this radio station belong to you alone...?

Do you think that you can do whatever thing that you think is right for you...?

Do you think that it is fair to just block my number without any good reason...?

I think you should be able to bear consequences if you always think that you're always RIGHT...!

I am very sure that you have much more worst and sarcastic audience during your day with the Radio Station and Media Corpn as well...

I am very sure that not everyone like your attitude and behaviour towards people... You're not so tactful... Just that you're good in your communication skill...

I am rather disappointed to realise it now....

Its not too late to understand all these right....?

I am extremely disappointed with Radio Station 100.3 FM...

URGENT ATTENTION TO CEO OF SPH BROADCASTING

To Whom It May Concern

Dear Sir/Madam

I have tune-in to Radio 100.3 FM since March 2009.

I am extremely disappointed with Radio Station 100.3 FM since 9 April 2009 when I finally realised that my handphone number was totally blocked or even marked by them since then without any fair or reasonable excuse caused...

I don't enjoy or tune in to the channel since I unable to participant in the programme that they have broadcast... I know that I have other better choice but I really feel very unfair for a new audience like me...

I feel that audience have their right to express how they feel about the programme and towards the DJs attitude and behaviour as well,,, I don't expect this thing to be happened to me in a very embarrassing and unpleasing way...

I do come across audience complaint about the DJs through media previously but I have not do it yet because I am giving them an opportunity to explain just to reduce any unhappiness happening...

This is a worldwide channel and no personal attack will be given to audience as well but I can feel that I have this kind of unfairness treatment from them...

I have already email them on 3 May 2009 to clarify about this matter but nobody bother to reply since then.

The DJs can do anything they wish to do to the audience without giving any good reason or excuse...?

Kindly look into the matter seriously as I look forward to hear from you soon.

Do you ever block or bar my handphone number...
